A 3-hour interactive discussion for up to 25 participants in-person or up to 20 participants online. This workshop explores notions of cultural competence, cultural safety, and cultural intelligence, including:

• The colonisation of Aotearoa
• Racism and anti-racism, including dismantling racism intelligently
• Unconscious bias, prejudice, and privilege
• Equity and fairness
• Tokenism and authenticity

Engaging 2 - Building Cultural Capability

‍

A 3-hour interactive discussion for up to 25 participants in-person or up to 20 participants online. This workshop is a natural extension of Engaging 1 where participants begin to explore Te Ao Māori in more depth.

Engaging 3 - He Aotearoa Hou

‍

A 3-hour interactive discussion for up to 25 participants in-person or up to 20 participants online. This workshop is a natural extension of Engaging 2 where participants explore:

• Creating the cultural settings that honour and celebrate Te Ao Māori
• Getting comfortable in Te Reo Māori and Tikanga Māori
• Decolonisation and re-indigenisation

Cultural Audit

‍

A cultural audit is an organisation’s starting point in assessing its effectiveness in engaging with Māori. The cultural audit undertakes several methodologies including surveying, interviewing, document/policy reviewing, data analysis, report writing, and the presentation of findings and recommendations.

Our cultural audits are based around specific high-level focused questions relating to:

• Cultural competence and intelligence
• Credibility and integrity
• Effective engagement
• Te Tiriti o Waitangi
• Te Reo Māori
• Tikanga Māori
